Food, lots of food.

Hello!

I'm not a breakfast person, mostly because I'm not that hungry in the morning and I don't like breakfast foods. I just like to chug coffee. This morning I was up really early though so by my usual wake up time I was a bit hungry. I wanted to try something a bit different so I made french toast, the only sweet breakfast food I like. I have a problem with eggs, they make me very sick, so I just used a couple of them and lots of almond milk. I also took a Pepcid, just to be safe. I topped my piece of toast with a seared banana and peanut butter. It was ok, not great. I think butter and syrup is the way to go. Now I know.

After breakfast Lorelei and I headed to the gym. I did an easy 6 miles on the dreadmill. It turns out that the best shows are on on Saturday mornings. You know, all the awesome nature exploration/adventure shows. Today I watched them explore British Colombia looking for Grizzly bears, and then the next show was about rescuing a whale caught in a fishing net. It's not at all annoying to watch other people do your dream jobs while you run on the treadmill. Anyway...

When we got home I spent some quality time with my foam roller, did some single leg squats, 30 on each leg, did a 2 minute plank, and 30 push ups. I do mostly the wimpy girl push ups because I stink at the real ones. I can do a few but then I have to resort to the modified ones. Also, I hate strength training so I have to do it in small doses. And I usually don't do it at the gym because that's where all the guys that love themselves a lot and make me want to puke hang out. At least at my gym anyway.

Let me tell you about the most amazing salad we had with dinner. It was just a simple salad of spinach, cucumber and tomato. The amazing part was the oil and vinegar I put on it. I got some fancy olive oils and balsalmic vinegars for Christmas and the strawberry balsalmic vinegar with the tarragon infused olive oil was pretty much the best dressing I've ever had on a salad. Thanks Dan, I'll never be able to live without this stuff. We had black bean and veggie quesadillas with our salads.

Now I'm enjoying a glass of wine and some popcorn with nutritional yeast before I go to bed watch a lot of Gossip Girl.

Good Night!

  1. I borrowed a nature DVD from grandma to watch while I'm on the treadmill. I love running through Yellowstone with the grizzly bears, when I need to run faster I imagine they are chasing me!! LMBO
